This Week's Lifestyle Properties and Open Homes

I think it’s probably obvious and expected to be talking about the OCR cut from 4.25 to 3.75 and, while everyone was expecting it to happen this way, it is still good news to see the official word come through.  The caution at this point is that there is still global pressure on the economy, which may impact the longer-term interest rates. The long-term rates may not dive downwards significantly, but the shorter-term rates have and will likely continue to drop a bit over the coming weeks.  While expected, and maybe not feeling like the thrilling news of the week, it continues to put confidence in the minds of buyers and drives activity among those currently on the market looking to buy.

…In other news; The Maraekakaho Country Market Day is quickly approaching and, once again, the Property Brokers Hawkes Bay Lifestyle Team is getting behind this fantastic community event.  The Maraekakaho Country Market Day is a fun annual event that brings crowds from across the region and generates much-needed funding for the Maraekakaho School, Gumboots and community overall.  Our Lifestyle Team have been a key sponsor of this event for many years and is excited to announce a new spin on our partnership with the Maraekakaho Country Market Day.

This year, we will be holding an auction event during the day and are looking to our clients, family and friends to help provide a few key items to make the day a success.  So, if you have an old farm ute tucked away not being used, perhaps an old tractor that you might not need, or even a ‘lifestyle friendly’ piece of kit that you’ve been meaning to put on TradeMe, let us know! We can put it up for auction on the day and all funds raised will go directly back into the Maraekakaho community, benefiting the students of Maraekakaho School and Gumboots Early Childhood Centre.  How good is that!

So, have a think about what might be in the shed, make sure it still runs, don’t worry too much about the rego and give us a call, we will sort out the rest!
